The Skiddometer is an instrument for a continuous friction measurement (CFME) of runway and road surfaces. It is today in civil and military operations world wide, with close to 500 units. Our thorough consult, leasing, rent, training and service packages are provided according your indivudual needs.
Skiddometer BV friction measurement unit can be used for continuous measurement of friction on runway or road surfaces. The unit is approved by ICAO and FAA, by the latter also for U.S. federal funding. Skiddometer has an extremely long life time cycle, it is easy to operate and service and reliable in all conditions. It does not require regular calibration. Besides measuring friction Skiddometer can be used also for runway calibration as per ICAO´s and FAA’s recommendation.
